Traveling solo?
Be in your own photos.

You planned the trip, you crossed the ocean, you walked these streets alone. Now take home photos of you in them, not just of the buildings.

The photos nobody else can take of you

When you travel alone, you come home with hundreds of pictures of Cartagena and almost none of yourself. Maybe a few selfies at arm's length, or a blurry one a stranger took in a hurry.

I'm Beth, a local professional photographer in Cartagena. My solo travel photoshoot is made for exactly that moment: 40 minutes, just you and the most beautiful corners of the walled city, and 10 to 15 edited photos you'll actually want to post, print and keep.

It's short on purpose. You don't have to give up half a day of your trip. Fit it into a free morning, then go on with your plans.

Selfies vs. a solo photoshoot

On your own

  • Arm's-length angles, always the same

  • You end up behind the camera, not in the photo

  • Spots chosen for the best light that day
  • Simple posing guidance so you look natural
  • 10–15 edited photos of you in Cartagena

Made for solo travelers, especially if you're a woman traveling alone

Meeting a stranger in a new city can feel uncomfortable, so everything is clear before you arrive. We agree on a public, easy-to-find meeting point in the Old Town, the session happens in busy central streets, and you can message me on WhatsApp at any moment before we meet.

And if you feel shy in front of a camera: that's normal. I tell you where to stand, where to look and what to do with your hands. After the first five minutes, most people forget they're being photographed.

Best spots for a solo photoshoot in Cartagena

In 40 minutes we choose a short route so no time is lost walking. Common combinations are the colorful streets and flower balconies of the walled city, the murals and umbrellas of Getsemaní, or the city walls at golden hour. If you want ideas first, see my guide to the best photo spots in Cartagena.
